Lada in WTCC
Russian Bears Motorsport, a private russian racing team, will run two Lada 110 2.0 cars from the 3rd race meeting of the season that will take place in Valencia on May 18th.

The two drivers of the team are the 43-year old Russian Viktor Shapovalov and the 31-year old Dutchman Jaap Van Lagen.

The team is expected to make its maiden appearance at the WTCC official test session in Valencia, on April the 15th and 16th.

Renault becomes the strategic partner of AvtoVAZ (Lada)
Sergey Chemezov, Head of Russian Technologies and Chairman of the Board of AvtoVAZ, Serguei Skvortsov, President of Troika Capital Partners and Carlos Ghosn, President and CEO of Renault signed on December 8, 2007 a Memorandum of Understanding In Togliatti, Russia.

Under the terms of the proposed agreement, Renault will take a 25% stake in AvtoVAZ and help modernize its outdated cars and manufacturing.
